Pineapple Teriyaki Pork Burgers

Ingredients

1 lb (500 g) Lean ground Canadian Pork
1/4 cup (50 mL) fine dry bread crumbs
1/4 tsp (1 mL) garlic powder
1/4 tsp (1 mL) black pepper
2 Tbsp (25 mL) onion, finely chopped
2 green onions, chopped
2 Tbsp (25 mL) soy sauce
2 Tbsp (25 mL) orange juice concentrate, thawed
1/4 tsp (1 mL) ginger powder
1 tsp (5 mL) brown sugar
4 hamburger buns

Cooking Instructions

Combine all ingredients. Form into 4 patties.Preheat barbecue on high. Reduce heat to medium. Barbecue 5-10 minutes per side (or broil approximately 3″ /7.5cm from heat for 5 -10 minutes per side) or until no pink remains. Always cook ground pork to well done. Serve on hamburger buns with your favourite condiments. For a new taste sensation, serve on a hamburger or kaiser bun and layer sliced oranges, sliced kiwi and sliced strawberries over the meat.
