Need a Glaze for Your Easter Ham?

We have you covered here at Ontario Pork if you need a glaze for your ham! Check out the options below for a flavour that will be sure to please your taste buds. For each glaze recipe below all you have to do is follow two simple steps.

1. In a bowl, Mix the glaze  ingredients together till well combined.
2. During the last 15 to 30 minutes of roasting time, brush glaze over meat at 5 minute intervals. Allow the juices to settle by letting the ham rest for 10 -15 minutes before carving.

Maple Ginger Glaze
1/4 cup (60 mL) maple syrup
2 tbsp (30 mL) all-purpose flour
1 tbsp (15 mL) EACH: Dijon mustard and lemon juice
1/8 tsp (1/2 mL) ginger

Honey Mustard Glaze
1/3 cup (75 mL) 100% Ontario honey
2 tsp (10 mL) dry mustard
½ cup (125 mL) fruit juice

Honey-Orange Glaze
1/2 cup (125 mL) honey or corn syrup
1/2 cup (125 mL) orange juice
1 cup (250 mL) brown sugar

Pineapple-Apricot Glaze
1/2 cup (125 mL) pineapple juice
1/2 cup (125 mL) apricot nectar
1 cup (250 mL) brown sugar

Old Fashioned Glaze
2 cups (500 mL) brown sugar
2 tbsp (30 mL) all-purpose flour
2 tbsp (30 mL) corn syrup
2 tsp (10 mL) dry mustard
3 tbsp (45 mL) white wine vinegar
